Welcome to Serenade! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Serenade Services (app and website). By using Serenade, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We Collect Personal Data:

• Name: Collected during account creation via Sign in with Apple and Google.
• Email Address: Collected during account creation via Sign in with Apple and Google.
• Profile Picture: Uploaded by users during profile setup.
• Date of Birth: Provided by users to verify age and personalize the experience.
• Posts: Content created and shared within the app by users.

Use of Your Information We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Account Creation and Management: To create and manage your account, enabling us to provide our services.
• Operation, Improvement, and Provision of Services:
  • To create an account for you, receive and display content, and identify content or accounts that may interest you.
  • To ensure our services operate as expected and to improve them.
• Content Data: We receive content that you create when you use our Services. This includes profile photos, emojis, captions, and posts.
  • Remember, other users can copy (e.g., screenshot) your content and share it through other services. We recommend that you do not share any content that you do not want other people to see or copy.
  • You are responsible for the posts you share on Instagram or other platforms using the share option inside the Serenade app. Other people might be able to use that content when you decide to share it outside the app.
• Safety and Security:
  • To ensure the safety and security of our users and services.
• Measurement and Analytics:
  • Although not currently implemented, we may use your information for internal analytics to measure the effectiveness of our services, including performance and stability of the application, and your usage for recommendations of both accounts and content. This will be updated in the Privacy Policy as corresponds.
• Communications:
  • To communicate with you about features of our services or when you contact us to ask a question or report content.
• Future Marketing and Personalized Advertising:
  • Although not currently implemented, we may use your information for personalized advertising or marketing in the future. Users will be informed before this practice begins.

Sharing of Your Information

• Third-Party Sharing: We do not share user data with third parties.
• Data Sales: We do not sell user data to third parties.

User Rights

Delete Your Account: In the settings of the application, you can choose to delete your account at any time. If you choose to delete your account and confirm that decision, your account will be deleted immediately. Your account and all of your information will be permanently deleted, except for the posts and interactions with other users. Your name and photo will be removed from the posts and interactions visible on the app but will continue to be stored on servers. Note, information will not be deleted where Serenade has received a valid legal request requiring us to preserve your information.

Data Security We implement various security measures to protect your data:

• Authentication: We use Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, which means we do not store passwords. Users can also choose to hide their email, in which case we will store only a generic email provided by the authentication service.
• Access Controls: We use access controls to safeguard your data.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies We do not use cookies or track the activity of users across apps.

International Data Transfers We do not transfer user data internationally.

Children's Privacy Serenade Services may be used by individuals of all ages. However, if you are under the age of 13, your use of Serenade Services must be supervised by an adult. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to oversee and monitor your use of Serenade Services.

Policy Updates The effective date of this Policy is the date next to the words “Last Modified” at the top of this Policy. We may update this Policy at any time, in our sole discretion, if we make material changes to the way we handle your personal information, or if material changes are necessary. Any changes we make to this Policy will be effective immediately upon the posting of the updated Policy. As such, we encourage you to review this Policy regularly. Your continued use of the Application after we make changes will constitute your acceptance of any such changes.
